Refuge Cove

There is so much to do in the Pittwater - Ku-Ring-Gai area for everyone to enjoy. The house is only walking disctance to a public wharf and a netted swimming area. Refuge Cove has some lovely grassed picnic areas shaded by huge gums near the water. Kayaking, Paddle boarding and sailing is also available just at the end of the street. There are some good fishing spots as well and there is also boat access if you are arriving by water. Water taxis are also available at the public wharf at Refuge Cove. 

Avalon Beach

Avalon beach, just a short 5 minute drive from the apartment is a cosmopolitan place with so much to offer. With surf shops, boutique shopping, cafes and fine dining, RSL, cinema, library, gym, yoga and pilates studios. For the more sports minded there is a bowling club and tennis courts as well as two 9 hole and one 18 hole golf course within easy access. 

Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park

The Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park is just across Refuge Cove and has so much amazing scenery to offer. There are many walking tracks for you to choose from including the Aboriginal Heritage track, The America Bay track taking you down to the beach, The America Bay Waterfall and the Apple Tree Bay Birrawanna Loop track. The national park is within easy access either by car or water taxi from Refuge Cove. 

Barrenjoey Lighthouse

Sits at Sydney’s most northern point – Barrenjoey Head at Palm Beach. Positioned 91m above sea level, the lighthouse can be reached by a couple of walks. Take the picturesque 1km walking track to the top, which is an easy walk offering outstanding views along the track. Or for those who are keen for a challenging short hike, take the Smugglers track to the top. It now offers a steeper and shorter trek to the lighthouse. Don’t worry though, the walk isn’t as hard as it looks and is well worth the effort.
